Chippenham – Avon Rubber

Rhomco was instructed by the Intermediate Landlord of a 100,000sq/ft manufacturing plant in Chippenham to advise on a £2.5m dilapidations claim served on them by the Superior Landlord following expiry of their 25 year lease. Crucially, by collating extensive evidence on the condition of the asbestos roof covering prior to lease expiry, we were able to successfully defend a claim for the replacement of the roof, by arguing that it was possible to repair it at significantly less cost, which was subsequently proven as part of the reinstatement works.
